
Restaurant just 100 meters from Grotta del Vento
Paolo and Francesca: the Gradara castle has nothing to do with this and their love story is certainly not as tormented as the one mentioned in the fifth canto of Dante’s Inferno.
Happily united by an unbreakable bond, they are the owners of the new restaurant recently opened just one hundred meters from Grotta del Vento with the name of “Locanda ExtrAntrum” (yes, written exactly like that, with the “A” of extrA and Antrum in common, surmounted by a drawing that symbolizes a group of stalactites).
Coming from a long experience gained over years and years of restaurant activity on the Pistoia mountains, Paolo, a Venetian agronomist and Francesca, a Neapolitan biologist, offer their customers a wide menu of both local and national gastronomic specialties, prepared with love for good food and with the expertise guaranteed by studies carried out in the field of nutrition.
The name Extra Antrum (literally “outside the cave”), can also be interpreted as Fuorigrotta, a choice perhaps influenced by Francesca’s Neapolitan origins.
The restaurant is open every day with non-stop service from 11am to 5pm. An essential service due to the times of visits at the Grotta del Vento throughout the day.
Also open for dinner upon reservation.
