Normalmente il concetto di “sasso” è legato al suo peso:

“Pesante come un sasso”, “Cadere come un sasso”, “I sassi nell’acqua vanno subito a fondo”….Infatti non accade quasi mai che in natura i sassi possano salire, soprattutto su lunghi tratti aventi forti dislivelli.

Eppure nella Grotta del Vento ciò è accaduto, le prove sono inconfutabili e documentate fotograficamente…
Normally the concept of “stone” is associated with its weight, …“heavy as a rock”, “drop like a stone”, “stones in water go straight to the bottom”…. And in fact it almost never happens in nature that stones can rise up, especially over long tracts with big differences in height.

La Grotta di Stiffe è la risorgenza attiva di un sistema sotterraneo che inizia dagli inghiottitoi situati 600 metri più in alto, sull’Altopiano delle Rocche, in provincia dell’Aquila. Attrezzata con comodi sentieri, è caratterizzata dalla continua presenza di un copioso fiume sotterraneo, interrotto in due punti da fragorose cascate che precipitano nelle acque tumultuose di piccoli laghi sotterranei.

Da domani Lunedì 2 Novembre entrerà in vigore l’orario invernale della Grotta del Vento valido fino al 31 Marzo.

Nei giorni feriali sarà possibile visitare solo il 1° Itinerario

Nei giorni festivi sarà possibile visitare tutti gli itinerari: 1°, 2° e 3°.

Dal 26 Dicembre al 6 Gennaio, durante il periodo natalizio, potrete visitare tutti gli itinerari.

L’unico giorno di chiusura della Grotta del Vento è il 25 Dicembre.

From tomorrow Monday 2nd November the Winter timetable of the Grotta del Vento will return valid until the 31st March.

On weekdays including Saturdays only the 1st itinerary can be visited

On Sundays and Public Holidays all the itineraries can be visited: 1st, 2nd and 3rd.

From the 26th December to the 6th January, during the Christmas holidays, you can visit all the itineraries.

The only day the Grotta del Vento is closed is the 25th December.
